Jack Younger
Working in the arts was predestined for director, Jack Younger. The son of two sculptors, his teenage window on the world was Byron Bay’s late 1990s, early 2000s hippie art scene. By his early teens, he had a solid collection of film and video cameras and would spend weekends shooting the local goings on, from festivals to surfers, landscapes to portraits.
Initially his path leaned towards fashion photography, when Jack moved to Paris and worked for luxury fashion brands under the likes of Craig McDean and contemporaries. Paris, however, proved to be the crucible for an increasing pull towards motion and directing. That drive towards exploration continues today: experimenting with new equipment and techniques, both in-camera and in post production is an integral part of Jack’s process, and affords him the ability to better bring both his own and his clients' ideas to life. Jack’s work takes aspects from disparate places always with a clear eye on documenting the aspirational with both authenticity and artistry.
